Audit Objective and Scope Question

Is this vessel participating in the AWO Responsible Carrier Program RCP?

NOTE: This question is to determine if the company is AWO RCP Certified AND they have elected to be audited to the additional standards of the RCP.  A company MAY elect to be audited ONLY to the minimum requirements of 46 CFR Part 138 and still maintain their RCP Certification (see RCP III-1 A. AWO Membership Protocols). The auditor may need to confirm this with shoreside personnel before the vessel audit.

Audit Scope Message   The purpose of an audit is to determine whether a company maintains policies and procedures, conducts its operations, and maintains its vessels in material compliance in accordance with the audit objectives noted above. A vessel audit involves an onboard review and evaluation of the company’s policies and procedures, including crew implementation of the company’s safety management system, as well as other systems and programs as required.  In conducting the audit, the auditor relied on the accuracy of certain written documentation received from the customer, as well as written and oral representations of the customer and the customer’s management and crew who participated in the audit and did not independently verify such information. The customer is solely responsible for any inaccuracies or misrepresentations contained in any written documentation, oral representation, written representation, or other information provided to us by the customer or the customer’s management or crew.     Yes 70

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
